This event will be an opportunity for Education Section members to share their musical and cultural expertise with local middle school students in the Philadelphia area.

2011 SEM World Music Pedagogy for K-12 Teachers
The Education Section is pleased to announce a one-day workshop for local teachers at the held inside the Sheraton Philadelphia City Center Hotel on Saturday, November 19th, headquarters of the 56th annual meeting of the Society for Ethnomusicology, from 8:30 am to 12:30 PM.
During this workshop local teachers as well as ethnomusicologists interested in the public sector or public school activities will engage in musical and cultural activities appropriate for kindergarten through twelfth grade music classes.
This workshop is endorsed by the American Choral Directors Association of Pennsylvania (ACDA-PA) and Act 48 credit is available to ACDA members. Please contact Ann Clements ([email protected]) for additional Information.
